Erick is a retired United States Air Force Non-Commission Officer, having served his country for 20 years. While in the USAF he became a Certified National Emergency Medical Technician (NEMT). He was also chosen as a member of the elite Special Duty USAF Ceremonial Honor Guard and tasked with the responsibility of developing and administering the physical education program for over 200 men and women in his command. During his time in the military he also obtained a bachelor’s degree and took university graduate courses as well.
Erick holds the rank of 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has trained with Lynette Love, the 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist and 1992 Olympic Bronze Medalist in Tae Kwon Do. He has also trained with Debra Holloway, the 1988 Olympic Silver Medalist in Tae Kwon Do. In addition, Erick has won titles in two states for Olympic style (fighting).
Previously, he was the General Manger and Head Trainer of two successful gyms: Iron Works in La Plata, MD; and (formerly) SMAC (now World Gym) in Mechanicsville, MD. He is also a co-owner and founder of Total Body Trainers. Additionally, he is the co-founder of the CRISP training system.
